And project out to

About me

I am angry

And elated

A quality of being born in the sweaty sweet south of Texas

And coming out in the numb nexus of New York

Where I performed with the best of em

Shucking and jiving and singing and thriving

8 shows a week

Aint for the weak

But takes strength to stop

About me

I stood for myself and now

I stand for freedom

And sit for healing

About me

I create waves

Instead of riding

About me

I center truth

And use all of

My tools My weapons My gifts
